Symphonic Distribution expands in Europe with A&R client development team hires

Symphonic Distribution has hired a team of A&R client development leads to expand their presence in Europe. 

The new appointments at the music technology and services company for independent labels, managers and artists include Thomas Williamson (director, A&R & client development, EU & UK), Sander Stijnen (director, business development, EU), Romain Dilouya (director, A&R & client development, EU), Henry Burke (associate, A&R & client development, EU & UK) and Brunno Constante (associate, A&R & client development, Portugal, Angola). 

In addition, Gui Morais has been promoted to manager, A&R & client development, EU. 

“These new hires mark the latest phase of Symphonic’s aggressive growth, with plans to bring in top talent from across Europe to expand the company’s ever-growing global artist roster,” said a statement. 

Current and past artists include Imogen Heap, Tokischa, Doechii, Surf Mesa, DJ Muggs (Cypress Hill), Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam, Ozuna, El Alfa, Juan Luis Guerra, Onyx, Pi’erre Bourne, Nick Murphy/Chet Faker, Rob Garza (Thievery Corporation), CloZee, Freddie Gibbs, and many more.

Reporting to Symphonic’s chief creative officer, Randall Foster, and VPs of A&R and client development Oz McGuire and Jakub Alexander, the new team members will work closely with artists and labels in their respective regions to provide tailored solutions for each market. 

“Hailing from some of the top companies across the industry, each of these new hires has an eye for discovering untapped talent and passion for helping our indie artists thrive,” said Randall Foster, chief creative officer at Symphonic. “I look forward to welcoming a plethora of new signings to the Symphonic family under the direction of these talented A&R folks.”

Williamson, who is based in the UK, has joined Symphonic from VierLive in the A&R department. Prior to that, he served as A&R and head of streaming at 3Beat Productions and senior streaming account manager at Universal Music Group. In 2024, Williamson founded Ripe Records, an independent label based in Liverpool.

Randall Foster

Stijnen, who is based in the Netherlands, has joined Symphonic with more than 10 years of experience in both the independent and major label worlds. In his most recent role at Xite, he served as head of marketing, working on global campaigns for music videos. 

Prior to that, at Warner Music Group, he led the Benelux launch of ADA and later took on the role of head of A&R, signing breakout artists including Cho, Jinho 9, Kidd Keo, Bizzey, Dopebwoy, Mathieu Koss, Oualid, LA$$A and Kovacs.

Dilouya is based in Paris and has over 20 years of experience in the music industry, with previous senior roles in A&R, business development and artist services across Europe and the US. Prior to joining Symphonic, he served as international territory manager at Redeye Worldwide, and as a board member and head of A&R at Kuroneko Media, where he played a key role in catalogue development, label strategy and international growth.

Burke is based in the UK and is a seasoned music industry exec with a background spanning A&R, artist development, label management and digital marketing. Prior to joining Symphonic, he was a senior A&R manager at Liberty Music PR. Working in both the major label and independent sector, Burke has collaborated with Dimitri Vegas, Greyson Chance, Jax Jones, and others, while also championing a wide range of emerging acts.

Constante is based in Portugal and has joined Symphonic with nearly 20 years of music industry experience, including his most recent role as sales manager for Believe. His other previous roles include leadership positions at ONErpm, Kondzilla and MTV Brasil. After working in production, marketing and social media, he has developed a specialism in sales and data.

Morais is based in Ireland and joined Symphonic in 2022 as an account manager for Europe and the UK, where he has played a central role in enhancing the company’s regional market presence and roster diversity. He is also a voting member of the Latin Grammy Awards, and in 2019, his work as a music producer with artist Martte was recognised by Red Bull Music Brazil.
