Jukebox agency makes series of key appointments

The Jukebox agency has made a series of key appointments.

It follows the recent 16th anniversary of the 360 degree PR and marketing agency, which works with a range of festivals, artists and labels.

Chris Halliday has joined as director of communications, while Indi Matthews has been promoted to marketing director and Philipp Robl has been appointed as chief operating officer.

Chris Halliday has rejoined the team having established his own Grounded PR agency in the music, lifestyle and food & drink sectors for the last eight years servicing clients such as Secretsundaze, Percolate, Fabric, Dreamland, Patterns, Pistonhead, Brew LDN and Whistle Punks among others.

He has also held senior level marketing roles at London venues Cable Nightclub, Egg London and E1.

“He brings with him a deep understanding of the industry, an enviable book of contacts and a proven track record in delivering accomplished and effective PR campaigns,” said a statement.

Indi Matthews is the youngest director in the company at only 26. Matthews joined in a junior role three years ago and rose through the ranks to become account manager and then head of influencer marketing, to now be marketing director leading The Tribes and influencer departments.

Matthews previously worked at Untitled Group, which is Australia's largest independent music and events company.

I am so proud of the team as we are experiencing some crazy growth

Philipp Robl’s appointment as COO follows his work with Jukebox on multiple projects over the past four years, Robl has spent nearly a decade working independently, including founding four music-related companies along the way.

He runs his own record label and has organised events at multiple London venues including several events at Fabric. He is also leading the revival of one of Germany’s oldest techno clubs and managing a consultancy agency.

As he takes on the full-time role at Jukebox, Robl will be leading operations and growth strategy.

Founder Alex Jukes said: “I am so proud of the team as we are experiencing some crazy growth at the moment and have over 30 people in the office. In order for the company to run correctly, we need the best people in the top jobs. I couldn’t be happier that Chris and Phil will be leading from the  front. I am most excited about Indi who is definitely one of the rising stars in the industry and now leads our hugely successful marketing and influencer department, The Tribes, to drive serious growth over the next 12-18 months.”

In tandem with the growth of the company Jukebox has launched Loud & Unfiltered, a new podcast hosted by Alex Jukes. It launched earlier this year with the first episode recorded on his charity trip to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Recent episodes in the Inside Ibiza series featured Defected’s Steven Braines, longstanding Ibiza DJ Jason Bye, Pikes, 528 and The Ibiza Rocks Group’s Andy Mckay plus many more. The series has received more than three million views.

Jukebox’s 30 staff work across eight divisions. Operating globally, the company works with clients across the music, nightlife, event, tech, Web3 and lifestyle industries.

Jukebox’s client base includes festivals, venues and artists across the globe, including EXIT Festival, Pacha Ibiza, Hideout Festival, Five Dubai, Ministry Of Sound, Awakenings, Hospitality, Gates of Agartha, SXM Festival, Terminal V, Zamna, Mysteryland, Joseph Capriati, Artbat, Prunk, Recondite, Deborah De Luca and Sonny Fodera.
