Hold Tight expands marketing team with new social media management division

Hold Tight has expanded its marketing team with the appointment of social media manager James Hingle.

Hingle has joined the agency’s new social media management division and will work with clients including Danny Wimmer Presents festivals Inkcarceration, Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life, Welcome To Rockville and Aftershock.

Danny Wimmer Presents is a leading live event producer in the United States behind rock, metal and alternative music festivals. Additional social media clients at Hold Tight include Island Records (Australia), UK prog-metal band Tesseract, Armed For Apocalypse and Raphael Weinroth-Browne.

Hingle has spent the last decade working as a music journalist and content creator for Kerrang! magazine.

“I've watched Hold Tight grow as a PR agency for the last decade as a music journalist, and have always been a fan of their roster,” he said. “Joining the team to take on a social media role for Danny Wimmer Presents festivals is an incredibly exciting proposition. The festivals, Aftershock, Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life, and Sonic Temple, have been producing stellar line-ups and bringing a true festival culture to the US for the past few years. As a huge lover of rock and metal music, as well as its culture, this is such an exciting role to take on."

It follows the launch of Hold Tight Broadcast, a standalone radio, TV and content division. Hannah Gillicker was promoted to co-director of Hold Tight Broadcast, alongside co-director Lydia Hoyle, previously a senior radio & TV plugger at Virgin Music Group.

Gillicker joined Hold Tight as an intern in 2014 and has built its radio offering from the ground up. She has led radio campaigns for the likes of Arch Enemy, Holding Absence, Creeper and many more.

Lydia Hoyle has more than a decade of experience, starting out in rock and metal before transitioning into mainstream radio and TV, working with artists such as Sleep Token, LL Cool J and Kate Hudson.

Hold Tight Broadcast has headed up campaigns for The Horrors, Red Rum Club, Coheed and Cambria, Josh Ross, Sammy Hagar, The Hunna, and labels including Nuclear Blast, Century Media, Virgin Music Group and Spinefarm.
