French music publishers 22D Music Group and Velvetica Music have signed an agreement to merge the two companies.
“This alliance marks the emergence of an independent French group backed by a network of reliable partners,” said a statement. “Together, 22D Music Group and Velvetica are thus strengthening their role as a hub between production companies, authors, composers, and artists.”
Founded in 2006, 22D Music Group is an independent company specialising in music rights management, with a strong presence in the international audiovisual industry. The Paris headquarters employs around 20 people.
22D Music administers music publishing catalogues of audiovisual producers (including France Television, RTVE, UGC, Banijay Studio France, Faber, Cartoon Saloon) and film composers (Amine Bouhafa, Bruno Coulais, Atli Örvarsson, Eric Neveux, Stephen Warbeck).
It also represents artists and songwriters including Asha Puthli, Mylène Farmer, Peter Cat Recording, Camille Bazbaz, Maddy Street and Little Bob.
22D provides music services for feature films and TV series, including music supervision, licensing & clearance, legal support and overall coordination.

Velvetica Music was founded in 2011 by Thomas Jamois, who is also a board member of SACEM, CSDEM, CEMF and SEAM. It has 12 employees under the managing role of Johanna Bisac.
Velvetica Music is a music publisher administrator and sub-publisher for the audiovisual sector (Pathé, Gaumont, Orange, Banijay, Fédération), as well as music artists, labels and publishers (Phoenix, Caravan Palace, JB Dunckel, Yuksek, Bucks Music, Beggars Music, Manners McDade).
