Former Polaris Hub execs launch Rights Intelligence agency

Linda Collin and Åsa Enström have launched Rights Intelligence, a new consultancy specialising in music licensing and rights management.

The pair previously worked at Polaris Hub: Collin was head of international business affairs & licensing and Åsa Enström was the head of legal at Polaris Hub.

Rights Intelligence will provide legal expertise and operational experience for organisations looking to build fair, transparent and commercially sound licensing frameworks.

The team will provide strategic guidance and hands-on support to CMOs, publishers, labels and tech platforms navigating complex licensing negotiations. They will also help them to adapt to developments in AI and regulation, ensuring compliance and positioning them for growth.

Launch clients range from early-stage streaming platforms to established, large-scale rights-holders.

“Rights Intelligence’s ambition is to protect the value of creative works while supporting innovation in music services, futureproofing clients’ businesses, and reducing friction across the ecosystem,” said a statement.

This launch is about proving that it’s possible to scale new models while remaining fair, compliant, and creator-centric

The company launches at a moment when long-established approaches to online music licensing are being reassessed. With the EU’s Article 17 now implemented across Europe, platforms are liable for, and therefore required to license, all music uploaded by fans.

“Rights Intelligence is stepping in to help clients capitalise on this shift, recognising both the value that scale can deliver and the constraints it can create,” added the statement. “Rights Intelligence will work to preserve choice, leverage and flexibility for clients, demonstrating that market share does not need to dictate negotiating power.”

Rights Intelligence aims to set a standard for rights management across all areas of creative IP, preparing for a future where music, audio, video, influencer content and AI-generated works converge in the same product streams.

Linda Collin, CEO of Rights Intelligence, said: “Innovation should never come at the expense of creators’ rights. Our work is grounded in the belief that technology and rights management must move forward together. This launch is about proving that it’s possible to scale new models while remaining fair, compliant, and creator-centric.”

Collin’s experience includes high-value negotiations with Spotify, Meta and Google, previously serving as international licensing manager at Universal Music Group, as well as her role with Polaris Hub.

Åsa Enström has 25 years of legal experience, specialising in intellectual property, licensing, and contract negotiations. Enström has held previous roles with BMG Rights Management and Polaris Hub, as well as music production tech company Softube.
