Music technology and services firm Symphonic Distribution has formed a strategic partnership with Abyss Company, one of Korea’s leading music labels and artist management companies.
“This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both organisations as they expand their global presence and deepen their roots in Southeast Asia,” said a statement.
The deal follows the news of Symphonic Distribution’s expansion in the UK and Europe.
This latest partnership enables Abyss Company to distribute its roster of emerging Southeast Asian artists globally, with the support of Symphonic’s international infrastructure and distribution expertise.
The first wave of releases will feature rising Filipino acts Anthony Meneses and Matéo, who recently joined Abyss Company’s roster. It also includes Korean acts Sunmi, Sandara Park of 2NE1, MeloMance, and more.
“We are excited to join forces with Symphonic,” said Aldrin Cerrado, country head of Abyss Company, Philippines. “This partnership allows us to take Filipino talent to the world stage, backed by Symphonic’s trusted platform, cutting-edge analytics, and a shared belief in artist empowerment.”
“Our vision at Abyss has always been to create a space where artists – regardless of nationality – can grow authentically and be heard globally,” added Timothy Kim, COO of Abyss Company. “This collaboration is a meaningful step in bridging Korean excellence and Filipino creativity, with Symphonic as a key partner in that journey.”
“We see incredible potential in Southeast Asia, and partnering with a forward-thinking company like Abyss helps bring that potential to light,” said Twinky Lagdameo, senior manager, A&R and business development, Southeast Asia at Symphonic. “It’s an exciting time to see Korean and Southeast Asian creativity come together and reach a wider audience.”
Guji Lorenzana, territory manager, A&R and business development, Asia-Pacific at Symphonic, added: “We’ve been working closely with our Southeast Asia team to cultivate opportunities that matter, and this partnership with Abyss is exactly that. It reflects a mutual commitment to elevate the region’s talent globally, and we’re proud to support artists and teams who are serious about long-term creative impact.”
