WME signs K-pop Demon Hunters vocalist and songwriter Ejae

Ejae, the vocalist and songwriter behind K-pop Demon Hunter’s huge hit Golden, has signed with WME for worldwide representation in all areas.

A breakout star of Netflix’s record-breaking animated musical film, Ejae is the singing voice of Rumi, the lead vocalist of the group Huntr/X. She is a co-writer of the film’s soundtrack which has UK consumption of 294,355 units (Official Charts Company).

In addition to performing all of Rumi's vocals, Ejae played a crucial role in the music and development of the movie. Ejae’s performance on the single Golden propelled the track to eight weeks at No.1 in the UK with consumption to date of 830,857 units.

Golden also spent eight weeks atop the US Hot 100. It is the first song by a female K-pop act to ever reach No.1 in the UK and US in the singles rankings.

Golden has been streamed almost 850 million times and counting on Spotify. Ejae wrote several other tracks from the soundtrack, including How It's Done, What It Sounds Like, Your Idol (for the film’s rival boy group Saja Boys), and the score's Hunter’s Mantra.

Ejae recently performed Golden live with Huntr/X on The Tonight Show and in a skit on Saturday Night Live.

Golden won the award for Best Original Soundtrack at this year’s K-World Dream Awards and was nominated for Song of the Summer at the MTV Video Music Awards. In 2022, Ejae was nominated for the Best Original Song in a Video Game at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards for Rebirth in League Of Legends.

Beyond her work on K-pop Demon Hunters, Ejae has written, vocal-directed and contributed background vocals for several K-pop groups. Her credits include major hits like Aespa's Drama and Armageddon, Red Velvet's Psycho and songs with artists such as Le Sserafim, Twice, Taeyeon, Nmixx and Fifty Fifty, among others.
