Tomorrow’s Warriors has announced the appointment of Marcia Willis Stewart KC (Hon) as legal trustee.
The music charity for jazz welcomes Willis Stewart, who has been at the forefront of public law over the last decade, to its governing board, helping to deepen its commitment to equity, justice and opportunity within the music and creative industries.
Willis Stewart has worked on many high-profile inquests, inquiries and legal cases, including representing the Hillsborough families, the bereaved survivors of Grenfell, the family of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman, and the family of Dawn Sturgess.
In recognition of her contribution to social justice, Willis Stewart was appointed an Honorary King’s Counsel (KC) in 2017 (formerly under the Queen’s Counsel), alongside receiving multiple accolades for her advocacy and contributions to legal reform.
