With the support of our peers in the music industry, we can tackle the triple threat we face of increasing costs, decreasing donations and growing demand head on

Sandra Schembri, CEO, Nordoff and Robbins, said: “We are so honoured to have such iconic artists lined up to win at this year’s O2 Silver Clef Awards. With their support and the support of our peers in the music industry, we can tackle the triple threat we face of increasing costs, decreasing donations and growing demand head on. It costs over £8 million a year to run our charity, and we urgently need to raise more funds to help us in our mission of providing vital music therapy to people across the UK who are living with dementia, are autistic, have learning difficulties or struggle with mental health challenges.

The impact of music therapy can be huge, from helping a teenager like Ruby with severe mental health challenges who said music therapy saved her life, to giving Inez, who is non-verbal, a means to communicate with her family without words.”

Launched in 1976, the O2 Silver Clef Awards has celebrated the biggest names in music, including David Bowie, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, George Michael, Annie Lennox, Kylie Minogue, Dame Shirley Bassey, Roger Waters, Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, Oasis and Coldplay.

Ticketmaster, sponsor of the Best New Music Award, is implementing its annual O2 Silver Clef upsell, which offers fans the chance to donate directly to Nordoff and Robbins when buying tickets on the platform.
