Julie Weir and Karen Emanuel OBE have joined the Ladies Who Rock fundraising committee.
The pair have become members of the charity that raises money for Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT), as the annual fundraiser on July 2 nears.
Weir (director, Music For Nations, Sony Music Entertainment UK) and Emanuel (CEO and founder, Key Production Group) will play an active role organising this year’s event held at London’s Café Royal.
To date, the event that brings together key people from across the creative industries to network and fundraise, has raised more than £170,000 for TCT.
Now in its sixth year, the Ladies Who Rock fundraiser is again set to raise thousands for TCT’s work supporting young people with cancer.
They are both incredible women who will help us expand our reach
Annabella Coldrick
Ladies Who Rock was founded in 2021 by Angie Jenkison (CEO of the Sir Graham Wylie Foundation and Music Consultant to TCT), Sammy Andrews (founder and CEO, Deviate Digital), Annabella Coldrick (chief executive, Music Managers Forum), and entertainment industry consultant, Vanessa Bakewell.
Coldrick said: “It’s amazing to have Karen and Julie join us on the Ladies Who Rock team, they are both incredible women who will help us expand our reach and raise even more money for Teenage Cancer Trust.”
This year’s event, which is hosted by comedian Miss Rory and radio presenter Sophie K, will see more than 100 women come together from across the entertainment and creative industries. Rising singer-songwriter Heidi Curtis is set to perform.
