CMAT signs to PPL for international neighbouring rights royalties collections

CMAT

CMAT has appointed PPL for the collection of her international neighbouring rights royalties.

PPL has welcomed the Irish singer-songwriter and two-time BRIT award nominee to its list of performers under the deal. It follows Charli xcx joining PPL last year for international collections. The Last Dinner Party and Lewis Capaldi are among other acts who have joined the international roster in recent years.

The Irish artist and former Music Week cover star will benefit from PPL’s global reach and expertise in neighbouring rights as it collects royalties on her behalf whenever her music is played on radio, TV and in public places around the world.

Headquartered in London, PPL last year collected £315.3 million on behalf of its members. It distributed £77.7 million to over 28,000 performers and recording rightsholders in the first quarter of 2026.

Since launching the international part of its business, PPL has collected over £1 billion in international neighbouring rights revenue, including £94 million in 2025.

Kate Reilly, chief membership and people officer, PPL, said: “CMAT is one of Ireland’s most distinctive and compelling voices, creating music that deeply connects with audiences around the world. We’re proud that CMAT has chosen PPL as a trusted partner for her neighbouring rights royalty collections, at a time when her music continues to grow in popularity globally.”
