Abbey Road’s annual Equalise festival will be taking place this year for six days between March 3-8.
The festival, which supports the next generation of female and non-binary artists, creatives, engineers and producers, will feature a series of workshop sessions from acts including Aziya, Divorce, Man/Woman/Chainsaw, Fiona-Lee, Flowerlove and a final act to be confirmed for March 8, International Women’s Day.
Each act will each record a new piece of music as part of their studio session, while aspiring artists, engineers and producers are invited into the room to observe the sessions. Producer, alternative pop artist, and harmonica player Sarah Meyz will be producing the sessions, with Abbey Road’s assistant engineer Marta Di Nozzi engineering.
“I am incredibly proud that the Abbey Road Equalise programme is entering its sixth year,” said the studio’s managing director, Sally Davies. “At Abbey Road, we believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive music industry and Equalise plays a vital role in creating opportunities for talented young women and non-binary individuals. By providing young talent with access to our facilities and mentorship from our engineers, we hope to empower the next generation of creative talent to shape the sound of tomorrow. Equalise is not just about providing technical skills; it's about fostering a supportive community and breaking down barriers for underrepresented voices.”
Head of brand and communications, Mark Robertson, added: “The line-up for this year’s Equalise studio sessions includes some of the most happening names in contemporary music in 2025 and those who made a serious impact on the 2025 artist lists. Our immense gratitude to all the artists giving up their time to help inform and inspire young women making their first steps in engineering and production.”
The ballot for participation in this year’s Equalise closes on Friday, February 21.
