Chester Music, part of Wise Music Group, has signed a music publishing deal with British composer and producer Gabriel Prokofiev, the grandson of Sergei Prokofiev.
Over the last decade, Prokofiev has become a significant voice in contemporary classical music, combining experience in classical and symphonic compositions, with scores for film, dance and opera, concert music and electronic music.
The Synthesizer Concerto, his latest concert work, commissioned by Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música and Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, will be premiered on November 15 at Casa da Música, Porto, Portugal by Inna Faliks (synthesizer) and Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música, conducted by Andrew Gourlay.
His latest LP, Dark Lights, is released digitally on October 3 on the Nonclassical label. The album will be released on CD in January 2026. Prokofiev will also perform live at London’s Up Close and Musical Festival on November 5.
