Polish musician, artist and activist Misia Furtak has signed a publishing agreement with Berlin-based Bosworth Music, part of Wise Music Group.
Furtak, who has received the cultural award Paszport Polityki, was previously a member of multi-national indie band très.b. Her 2021 album Wybory featured the track Agata, which drew national attention for its critique of political silence.
She is currently working on new material, planned for 2026.
In 2022, Furtak was selected for the Keychange network, the international organisation whose goals are to support women and gender minorities in music and to build a more sustainable music industry. She also led the Polish chapter of Music Declares Emergency.
Furtak has played in Europe and Japan, alongside acts including The National, Arlo Parks, TV On The Radio, and many others.
Misia is recognised as one of the most influential and artistically respected artists in Poland
Michael Ohst
Misia Furtak said: “It’s such an honour to be joining the Wise Music family. I don’t just use the word ‘family’ because it suits the occasion – both some of the artists signed to Wise as well as my immediate team: Michael, Sophia and Lena – really feel like my tribe. It is special to meet people who give you both space and attention, throw you in at the deep end, and also support you and believe in you all the way.
“I’m very grateful to be able to work with them from now on and I’m looking very much forward to establishing better connections with the rest of the team, as well as joining all sorts of creative endeavours that my collaboration with Wise Music will spawn.”
Michael Ohst, managing director of Bosworth Music, said: “Misia is recognised as one of the most influential and artistically respected artists in Poland. We are pleased to collaborate with her in developing and realizing her musical vision, and we look forward to contributing to projects that reflect her creative depth and originality.”
