Warner Chappell Music has renewed its worldwide publishing agreement with multi-Diamond certified singer-songwriter Aya Nakamura.
The deal extends a partnership that began in 2017, marking a decade of collaboration.
Since the 2018 release of her global anthem Djadja, which went platinum in 17 markets, she has expanded the reach of French-language music.
Blending pop, Caribbean Zouk, R&B and Afrobeats, Nakamura’s signature sound has earned her more than seven billion streams, making her the most-streamed French female artist in history. She is also followed by more than 25 million fans on social media.
The renewal follows a landmark two-year period for Nakamura, which included her second consecutive No.1 album, Destinée, and a performance at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. She performed alongside the French Republican Guard to an estimated audience of over a billion viewers.

Nakamura will play a three-night residency at Paris’ Stade de France at the end of May. With all 240,000 tickets selling out immediately, she will become the youngest artist in history to perform three consecutive sold-out dates at the stadium
Aya Nakamura said: “Warner Chappell Music has been a partner and a source of support for me since my beginnings, and I’m very happy to continue this collaboration with Matthieu and his team.”
Matthieu Tessier, managing director, Warner Chappell Music France, added: “Aya is a remarkable artist of rare sensitivity whose music has resonated around the world for nearly 10 years, reaching several generations. It is an honour for the teams at Warner Chappell Music France and myself to represent her repertoire and work with her on a daily basis. I thank her for trusting us with her music.”
