Sony Music Publishing has signed songwriter and producer CJ Baran to a global publishing deal.
Baran has a track record of successful collaborations with artists including Melanie Martinez, Marina, Nessa Barrett, Panic! At The Disco, Coin, Carly Rae Jepsen, and more.
Some of his notable hits include Melanie Martinez’s Pity Party and Cake, Panic! At The Disco’s Victorious, and Coin’s Talk Too Much, among others. Baran also executive produced Melanie Martinez’s third album Portals, which reached No.2 in the US.
Baran’s recent credits include executive producing Marina’s Princess Of Power, which debuted at No.7 on the UK albums chart, and Nessa Barrett’s Aftercare, which reached the UK Top 20. In addition to his collaborations with major artists, Baran is actively developing rising alternative pop artist Valencia Grace.
