In the early days of his career, Lancaster was the lead singer and guitarist of the post-hardcore band Proceed, using a self-taught home studio set-up to record and produce.
From 2012–2014, Lancaster broke through as a producer, songwriter and mixer with UK Top 40 chart success on Don Broco’s Priorities, a UK Top 20 album with Lower Than Atlantis, and his first international credit via 5 Seconds Of Summer. 2015 saw his first Top 10 UK album with Automatic by Don Broco.
Lancaster had his breakout moment in 2015 when his mix on Bring Me The Horizon’s That’s the Spirit reached No.2 on both the UK and US albums chart, as well as No.1 in Australia and Canada. It led to collaborations with international acts, including Blink-182’s 2016 album, California, which reached No.1 in the UK and US and secured Lancaster’s first Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album.
From 2017–2022, Lancaster delivered multiple global chart-topping albums, including Bring Me The Horizon’s Amo, earning Grammy nominations, No.1 albums in the UK, US and Japan, as well as achieving the first UK chart-topping album for Don Broco. Lancaster was also involved in working on the Ed Sheeran and Bring Me The Horizon 2022 BRIT Awards show opener collaboration of Bad Habits.
Across the same period, he expanded into solo artistry with sold-out shows and started his collaboration with Muse, beginning with 2022’s single Won’t Stand Down. He then became an on-stage collaborator on their 2022-2024 world tour.
In this time, he also worked on Bring Me The Horizon’s 2024 release Post Human: NeX Gen as a writer and producer.
In 2025, Lancaster co-produced and co-wrote Three Days Grace’s Apologies, which was No.1 across US and Canadian rock radio, followed by Kill Me Fast, which topped US airplay charts.
Lancaster also co-produced, co-wrote and mixed Muse’s Unravelling and co-wrote Pendulum’s Save The Cat, which featured on their UK Top 10 album.
