Music metadata platform Noctil launches OrgLink sharing feature

Music metadata platform Noctil has launched OrgLink, a new feature enabling data sharing.

Designed for complex ecosystems such as record labels, publishers, performance rights organisations and royalty societies, OrgLink allows businesses to model relationships between accounts and enforce granular metadata access policies.

A key advancement in OrgLink is record ownership tracking, which enables organisations to retain clarity over data provenance when sharing metadata downstream. It supports secure collaboration across systems, while maintaining full control over how data is viewed and edited at each level.

Jacob Varghese (pictured), founder and CEO of Noctil, said: “Managing complex metadata flows and ensuring accurate royalty distribution is one of the industry’s biggest challenges. OrgLink brings much-needed structure and transparency to that process. It empowers organisations to collaborate without compromising control – a critical step forward for efficient operations and fair payouts.”

The launch of OrgLink follows a year of growth for Noctil. The platform has now processed over 100 million sound recordings, supported 100,000-plus catalogue registrations, and enabled 50,000 rights-holders to get paid over the past five years.

Established in 2016, Noctil has offices in the USA and India and is a member of DDEX and the Music Business Association.
