HFA's Rumblefish signs rights admin services deal with ByteDance for TikTok and CapCut

HFA’s Rumblefish has signed a deal to provide data, licensing and royalty management services to support ByteDance’s TikTok and CapCut products. 

CapCut is a video editing application that enables users to create and edit videos with various effects, filters and music. 

To support the use of music in ByteDance’s products, HFA’s Rumblefish will provide publishers with the opportunity for direct licensing, linking sound recording to composition data, processing usage data and providing royalty calculation, distribution, copyright research and publisher support. 

“These services are backed by HFA’s advanced technology, trusted industry relationships, and over 90 years of music rights expertise,” said a statement.
