Music publisher Faber Alt has announced that it has signed Anna Phoebe.
The violinist, composer, producer, performer and co-host of BBC Radio 4’s Add To Playlist programme joins recently signed musicians and songwriters, Peter Sandberg, Olivia Belli and Sam Wills, at the Faber Music offshoot.
Phoebe’s signing follows the release of her latest album, Divergence, and her collaborative work with BBC Radio 6 Music’s Mary Anne Hobbs, whom she performed with at the 2023 Tate Britain re-launch.
More recently, Phoebe featured alongside Anna Calvi, Jarvis Cocker, Rufus Wainwright, Beth Orton, Ed Harcourt and others for a performance to mark the release of Broken English, a film about Marianne Faithfull.

Phoebe said: “I’m delighted to be joining the publishing roster at Faber Alt. From our very first conversation, Lucy Holliday and I established an immediate creative connection – I feel incredibly lucky to now have her as a trusted sounding board and a source of support as I continue to develop my work. It makes Faber Alt feel like a natural home for the next stage of my career as both an artist and composer.”
Lucy Holliday, creative director, Faber Alt, added: “It is a great pleasure to sign Anna Phoebe to our Faber Alt publishing roster. Anna is one of the most accomplished musicians I’ve ever met, with an innate talent and infectious enthusiasm for all things creative. Right from the start we had a connection, and as she’s someone who rarely stands still, it’s exciting to be part of her journey.”
This year, Phoebe will work on her third solo album, and kick off a tour this spring with a performance at Cornwall's Minack Theatre on May 1.
