Concord Music Publishing has signed artist, songwriter and producer Josef Kuhn, known professionally as Nickname Jos.
The global co-publishing deal, effective immediately, includes Nickname Jos’ full catalogue and future works.
Nickname Jos has worked with artists in the Nashville indie scene, including Annie DiRusso and Hannah Cole. Other artists Jos has collaborated with and produced songs for include Samia, The Greeting Committee, Tommy Lefroy, Archie Summers, Mali Velasquez and Kristiane.
Nickname Jos said: “I am so pumped to join the Concord team. Being a part of the formative and creative process is where I thrive most – I’m thankful for the opportunity to continue creating.”
In August Nickname Jos released debut album Buckshot, which is entirely self-produced and blends several genres including shoegaze and lo-fi pop. In the past year, he has also released singles Shoulders and Armor.
His songs have been featured on Spotify playlists including Pop Right Now, Pollen and Fresh Finds Indie.

Nickname Jos is currently touring with Sombr, performing as part of his band on the US leg of the Late Nights & Young Romance Tour. Next month he will accompany for Sombr’s debut as musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
