Concord Music Publishing has promoted Tom Coulson-Smith to vice president, A&R.
Based in London, Tom Coulson-Smith steps up from his previous role as senior director of A&R, which he has held since joining the company in 2020.
His appointment as director of A&R at Concord Music Publishing in 2020 marked a key moment in the company’s international expansion.
During his time at Concord, Tom Coulson-Smith has played a key role in signing and developing a roster of artists, songwriters and producers including Zach Nahome (Olivia Dean, PinkPantheress Bakar, Celeste, Tendai, BiigPiig), Mount Kimbie, Biff Cyro, Wesley Joseph, Fred Ball, Justin Parker and Yazmin Lacey.
Other highlights include working alongside The 1975, who headlined Glastonbury this summer.
Most recent signees include Ed Thomas, co-writer and producer on The Way I Love You by Jorja Smith, and rising producer/songwriter Kurisu, who’s worked with artists such as Alessi Rose, Mahalia, Cat Burns and Charlotte Plank.
He also works closely with songwriters and artists from Concord’s roster including Ivor Novello winner Yussef Dayes, Bombay Bicycle Club, Nick Mulvey, Everything Everything, Fiona Bevan, James Earp and Dave Okumu.
“Tom’s work has been instrumental within Concord’s A&R team, where his sharp creative vision and artist-first approach have played a key role in the company’s ongoing success,” said a statement.

He will continue to report to Kim Frankiewicz, EVP worldwide A&R at Concord Music Publishing, and will focus on signing and developing talent within the UK and globally.

Prior to joining Concord, Coulson-Smith served as A&R manager at Warner/Chappell Music, where he worked with artists including Celeste, Lianne La Havas, Marina and Winnie Raeder. Prior to that he worked with Frankiewicz at Imagem.
