Brennen Bryant to head up new Broke Publishing division

Independent label Broke Records has unveiled a newly formed publishing division to support and develop artists, producers, and songwriters.

The Broke Publishing division will be led by Brennen Bryant, who joins as head of publishing.

“Broke publishing formalises the company’s long-term vision to operate as a fully integrated music platform, offering artists and creators hands-on creative development, strategic career guidance, and publishing administration under one roof,” said a statement from the Create Music Group company.

At launch, Broke Publishing represents publishing rights in approximately 6,600 recordings.

“Leading the publishing division at Broke Publishing feels like a natural next chapter for me,” said Brennen Bryant. “I’ve had the opportunity to learn how impactful publishing companies are built through my time at Avex USA Publishing and across every role I’ve held. I’m bringing those lessons to Broke to build something intentional and ambitious: a company that genuinely champions writers and producers and thinks globally from day one.

“The vision is to help shape the next generation of producers and writers while building one of the most forward-thinking publishing companies to highlight the incredible work already done at Broke Records.”

Brennen Bryant

Bryant has nearly a decade of experience across both the creative and business sides of the music industry. At 28, he has held senior roles including senior manager, tour manager, director of A&R, and most recently senior director of A&R at Avex USA Publishing, where he helped shape creative strategy and expand the company’s publishing footprint.

He began his career at The Revels Group working on major tours for Drake and G-Eazy, before joining Murda Beatz’s team as day-to-day manager, tour manager and A&R. Over five years, Bryant developed and signed producers, writers, and engineers – including Nickie Jon Pabón, Kyle Reynolds, Finesse, and Tobias Wincorn. He later held key roles at 2wenty 2wenty Music Group, Hallwood Media and Range Music.

“Brennen has one of the sharpest creative instincts I’ve come across, but what really sets him apart is how deeply he understands the people behind the music,” said Andre Benz, CEO and co-founder of Broke Records. “He’s built real trust with creatives at every stage of their careers, and he knows how to turn creative momentum into long-term growth. Launching Broke Publishing with Brennen at the helm felt like a natural next step for us.”
