Women In Music Awards 2025: Music Support named as charity partner

Music Week is delighted to announce that Music Support is the charity partner for next month’s Women In Music Awards.

This year’s edition of the hugely popular daytime ceremony will take place on Friday, October 10 at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.

Table bookings are open here – and they are selling fast, so don't miss out.

The Women In Music Awards, organised in association with AIM and UK Music, celebrates the achievements of incredible women and female-identifying professionals in the music business – from game-changing executives to extraordinary artists, campaigners and beyond.

Music Support is a registered charity founded in 2016 by people from the UK music industry for people who work in the industry. It provides help and support to anyone experiencing challenges with substance use, addiction and/or mental health.

Music Support last week announced an expansion of its services with a groundbreaking new stepped care model, backed by NHS principles.

Core services include training in mental health first aid and bespoke workshops to empower individuals to look after the wellbeing of their colleagues (and themselves).

Support services include a confidential helpline and provision of assessments and treatment; ‘safe hubs’ backstage at festivals, providing a space for artists and crew to take time out and speak to fully qualified counsellors and/or mental health first aid trained staff; a family and friends service, designed to help loved ones (including colleagues) of those supporting someone with mental ill-health, problematic drinking, drug use or other addictions; and the Connections & Community hub, offering events and peer support groups that provide spaces to build resilient relationships and promote wellbeing.

It’s a chance to shine a light on the vital role music plays in supporting wellbeing and breaking down stigma

Kimberley Goddard

“At Music Support, we’re honoured to be partnering with the Women in Music Awards on International Mental Health Day,” said Kimberley Goddard, head of fundraising and partnerships, Music Support. “For me, this is more than just a celebration of incredible talent, it’s a chance to shine a light on the vital role music plays in supporting wellbeing and breaking down stigma.

“Having grown up in inner-city Camden and been a carer for someone with severe mental health challenges since I was seven, I’ve experienced first-hand the power of music as escapism and the importance of protecting our own wellbeing. By joining forces with Music Week’s Women in Music Awards, we’re not only celebrating the achievements of women across the UK music industry but also raising vital funds to deliver lifesaving mental health and addiction support. Partnerships like this help us reach those who need it most, offering hope, care, and a reminder that no one is ever alone.”
