Women In Music Awards 2025 date revealed and bookings now open - entries set to launch in May

The Music Week Women In Music Awards is set to return this autumn for another incredible ceremony.

In the run-up to International Women’s Day this weekend (March 8), we are delighted to confirm that this year’s edition of the awards will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025 at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.

Nominations for this year’s awards will open on May 15 – stay tuned to Musicweek.com for details of how to enter.

Table bookings for the much-loved ceremony are now open here – be sure to secure your place in celebrating this year's Women In Music winners. Table positioning at the awards is decided on a first-come, first-served basis. Book your table as soon as possible to secure the best position within the awards ceremony as last year sold out well in advance!

The awards, organised in association with AIM and UK Music, will again celebrate the achievements of women in the music industry – game-changing executives and extraordinary artists. Since its launch 11 years ago (click here to see all the main award winners from 10 editions of WIM), the daytime ceremony has grown to become a key event in the music industry calendar with a guest list including top executives and artists from the UK and internationally.

“This year's Women in Music Awards will be a wonderful celebration of the remarkable work done by women right across the music business,” said Alison Wenham and Lara Baker, who co-founded Women In Music in 2014“At a time when DEI initiatives are under threat in various quarters, it's ever more vital that events like this exist to inspire the next generation and recognise those who have paved the way.”

The awards recognise the great achievements of women and female-identifying people in the music business. We are proud to be trans and genderqueer inclusive. Music Week aims to showcase the full range of roles that women and female-identifying people are tackling within the business: highlighting how vital they are to the industry overall.

Our biggest ever edition in 2024 was once again hosted by Women In Music mainstay Alice Levine. It marked the second year of recent category additions for DE&I Initiative of the Year (Sony Music UK for its landmark childcare support scheme) and the Special Recognition Award, which was awarded to Alison Hook, Sony Music Publishing's SVP, sampling and copyright infringement, UK and international.

Guests included the then recently appointed Universal Music UK CEO & chairman Dickon Stainer, Jason Iley, CEO & chairman, Sony Music UK, Warner Music UK CEO Tony Harlow, Warner Music COO Isabel Garvey, MOBO CEO Kanya King and Glastonbury’s Emily Eavis, as well as artists and producers including Natasha Khan (Bat For Lashes), Fraser T Smith and Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell.

International Woman Of The Year Molly Neuman, president of Downtown Music’s CD Baby, and a touring musician with Bratmobile jetted in specially for the ceremony. You can read her Music Week Interview in the latest edition of the magazine.

For the Businesswoman Of The Year trophy, Key Production CEO/founder Karen Emanuel received the Prime Ministerial seal of approval with a letter of congratulations from Sir Keir Starmer (a fellow Leeds University student)

Clara Amfo and Jo Whiley presented the Outstanding Contribution trophy to Lorna Clarke, director of music, BBC. A tribute video featuring the likes of Chris Martin of Coldplay, Jason Iley, Tony Harlow and Emily Eavis, as well as BBC presenters including Greg James, Whiley, Amfo and Lauren Laverne.

In her speech closing the ceremony, Lorna Clarke said: “I think it is just so lovely to receive this recognition, so thank you Music Week. Please keep these things going. If anybody is in any doubt about why you need a celebration of women in music, just look around in this room – you can feel it – so please keep it going.”

You can read about all the winners from 2024’s ceremony here, including a brilliant interview with the legendary Tori Amos – winner of the Inspirational Artist award (presented by Bat For Lashes’ Natasha Khan).

We also inducted more game-changing women executives into the Roll Of Honour. Michelle Kerr, co-founder, Cosa Nostra PR, was posthumously awarded for Roll Of Honour.

The 2024 Roll Of Honour joined a line-up of previous honorees, who have been selected over the past decade.
