Music Week is thrilled to reveal that Jamz Supernova is to host the Music Week Awards 2025.
The sold-out ceremony will take place on May 8 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.
Last month, the Music Week Awards 2025 finalists were unveiled. As the only event of its kind, the ceremony recognises excellence across all areas of the music business, including record labels, live, radio, music publishers, management, marketing and PR. The awards are peer-voted and judged independently by a panel of experts each year.
This year, Jamz Supernova, a former Music Week Women In Music Awards Music Champion winner, is taking to the stage as our ceremony host for the first time ever.
“New challenge unlocked,” Jamz told Music Week. “I’m this year’s Music Week Awards host with the most! I can’t wait to celebrate the people behind the scenes of the UK music industry and the creative achievements of artists and their teams – May 8, it’s going to be a beautiful one!”
A multi-hyphenate and trailblazing champion in the UK music industry, Jamz Supernova has been widely celebrated for her influential presence on 6 Music, where she champions a diverse range of genres on her weekly show – from broken beat and hip-hop to electronica. She has also previously hosted shows on BBC Radio 1Xtra and Selector Radio for the British Council.
Committed to supporting emerging and underground artists, Jamz was an early champion of the likes of Greentea Peng, Hak Baker and Mercury and BRIT Award-winning group Ezra Collective. She also hosts her podcast, Between The Lines, which explores the art of songwriting through conversations with acts including English Teacher and Yazmin Lacey.
Set up in 2018, Jamz’ label Future Bounce is another part of her mission to nurture and support new talent. Working with musicians like Hagan, Sola and Giulia Tess amongst others, Jamz works in both A&R and consulting at the label.
As a regular on the UK festival circuit, Jamz has also played DJ sets at We Out Here Festival, Lost Village, All Points East, Glastonbury – where she is a part of BBC’s presenting team – and many more. Mixing a range of genres including UK funky, broken beat, bass, techno and more in her performances, Jamz has toured worldwide, and is inspired by soundsystem culture and music from across the globe.
