BRITs reveals posthumous award for Ozzy Osbourne and tribute performance led by Robbie Williams

The BRIT Awards with Mastercard has announced a posthumous award for Ozzy Osbourne and shared details of a live tribute to the late star at the ceremony tomorrow (February 28).

Osbourne, who died last July, is to be honoured with a BRITS Lifetime Achievement award, while a host of talent and musicians who have played as part of the heavy metal icon’s band over the years will play a live tribute.

Robbie Williams was personally invited by Sharon Osbourne to front the band, which is completed by Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos and Zakk Wylde. The all-star rock tribute performance will close out the 2026 awards show.

Stacey Tang, chair of the 2026 BRIT Awards Committee and co-president of RCA Records,  said: “Ozzy Osbourne has been a mighty force in modern music. Possessing an unmistakable voice and unique presence, he reshaped the sound and spirit of rock, inspiring generations of artists who followed. This Lifetime Achievement Award recognises a remarkable legacy built on originality and enduring influence, that continues to connect with fans worldwide.”

The news follows Raye joining the BRITS performing line-up at Manchester’s Co-op Live.

Alongside Raye, other confirmed performers include Harry Styles, Olivia Dean, Wolf Alice, Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami – the singing voices of Huntr/x, Alex Warren, Mark Ronson, Rosalía and Sombr.
