Range Music has bolstered its team of managers by launching a new composer division.
The first hire is industry veteran Jeff Jernigan (pictured), who will represent music-for-media composers, songwriters, music supervisors and executive music producers.
Range Music represents music supervisors such as Andrea von Foerster (Yellowstone, Landman), Jordan Carroll (Better Man, Dear Evan Hansen), Alison Moses & Kayla Monetta (Ginny & Georgia, Idiotka), and Angela Asistio (Interior Chinatown, Val).
With the aim to create further cross-division opportunities, Range Music is officially launching the new department with a music for television and film focus
Jernigan’s clients include Oscar-winning composer Steven Price (Gravity), Emmy-nominated composer and songwriter Tom Howe (Ted Lasso), Raffertie (The Substance), Emmy-nominated music supervisor Amanda Krieg Thomas (Halston), Brandon Roberts (Andor), Joseph Stephens (The Righteous Gemstones), Disasterpeace (It Follows), Tony-nominated composer Helen Park (KPOP), and Grammy-winning music supervisor Steven Gizicki (Maestro).
Jernigan began his music career at BMG Music Publishing and later worked in the film and TV department at ASCAP. He moved to Range from Kraft-Engel Management and will work closely with VP of creative sync and strategy, Leah Cook.
Jernigan previously worked with Range’s co-presidents of film & production, Fred Berger and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. The collaborations with Jernigan’s clients included Steven Gizicki, who served as music supervisor on James Mangold’s Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown and Damien Chazelle’s La La Land, both produced by Berger; and Steven Price, who served as composer on The Wayward/Range-released film Los Frikis from Range clients Tyler Nilson & Michael Schwartz.
