Wasserman Music hires London-based execs across marketing, podcasts and artist representation

Wasserman Music has hired three new London-based executives across its tour marketing, artist services and artist representation teams to help further the ongoing growth worldwide.

Former UTA agent Paul Ryan has joined as senior vice president and agent. With decades of experience spanning artist management, promotion and agency leadership, Ryan will continue to work with acts including Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, Cradle Of Filth, Lamb Of God, Malevolence and Sleep Token, as well as newly signed acts TesseracT and Currents.

In addition, Chris Lander has joined as vice president, expanding Wasserman Music’s footprint in the podcasts space. He is the latest addition to the company’s growing artist services team, which identifies and executes opportunities for artists beyond touring, including in film and television, digital media, gaming, literary, content and IP development, social impact, and more.

Lander has previously led creative development and talent partnerships for Global Media’s top podcasts, including Take That: This Life, and has represented major UK comedians including James Acaster, Nish Kumar and Deborah Frances-White.

Wasserman Music has also appointed Rebecca Laurie as a manager on the tour marketing team. In her role, she will be overseeing the marketing for domestic and global tours across UK agents. Laurie has previously worked at UROK as a day-to-day manager for Tom Odell and Mystery Jets, Dice as a key account manager, and has five years’ experience at AEG in festival and tour marketing.

Additionally, Laura Flynn was promoted to manager, tour marketing in September of this year, and has already worked across tour launches for Raye, Louis Tomlinson, D-Block Europe and The Neighbourhood. Prior to making the move into tour marketing, she worked as a senior coordinator under Rob Challice on a roster of artists including Bon Iver, Kings Of Convenience, Beirut, Novo Amor and The Mary Wallopers.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Paul, Chris and Rebecca to our team, and to have Laura join our tour marketing division,” said Wasserman Music EVP & managing executive Alex Hardee. “Each brings a unique skill set that strengthens our presence in the UK and broadens the opportunities we can deliver for our artists. Their passion, experience, and vision will be invaluable as we continue to grow.”
