Troxy partners with Ticketmaster as new era ramps up

The Troxy has appointed Ticketmaster as its ticketing partner, in a move designed to “make the experience brilliant for fans at every stage, from discovering what’s on, to getting through the door on the night and in-venue engagement”.

The East London venue, which is set to host Geese, Kurt Vile, Morcheeba and more this year, is in the latest phase of its current renovation, which includes new cloakrooms, toilets and a recently increased capacity to 3,600 tickets.

Tom Sutton-Roberts, managing director at the East London venue said: “Ticketmaster is innovating, right from the planning and discovery phase through to a great mobile-first experience and venue integration, and we’re looking forward to seeing how this will help the fan experience keep on getting better over the coming years.”

Sarah Slater, managing director of Ticketmaster UK, added: “We couldn’t be prouder to partner with Troxy at such an exciting point in its journey. The venue is investing heavily in raising the bar for the live experience, and this partnership is about making sure that carries through at every step for fans. From discovering what’s on, to getting in the door and finding your way around, it should all feel simple, smooth and joined up.”

Slater said that Ticketmaster brings “the technology, insight and operational support to help make that happen at scale, not just improving how you buy a ticket, but how that connects to the whole night.”

“We’re really looking forward to seeing how this helps shape an even better experience for fans as the venue continues to grow,” she added.

The partnership will include an Apple and Google Wallet integration, which will provide customisable passes containing information including entry details, venue guidance and real-time updates.

Ticketmaster has also built a bespoke Troxy app, with features including ticket purchase, real-time updates, entry guidance and more. The partnership is underway now and the app will be available to download in the coming weeks.

Ticketmaster’s SafeTix technology will also underpin tickets, using encrypted digital tickets with dynamic barcodes and NFC (near field communication) to reduce fraud and limit unauthorised resale. Artist’s teams will also be able to access audience insights.
