The Columbo Group has acquired historic music venue The Rex in Stratford, East London.
The group portfolio includes the Jazz Cafe, Phonox, Maiden Voyage Festival, and more. It also promotes hundreds of music events per year across the UK through Columbo Music, as well as multiple large-scale music festivals in London.
The 2,300-capacity The Rex venue will undergo a £15 million transformation, with doors scheduled to open in late 2027.
“The redevelopment will create a new flagship venue for East London, supporting and programming a wide range of artists and delivering an exceptional experience for attendees,” said a statement from the Columbo Group.
