Spotify users can now follow their favourite venues on the app.
Both free and premium listeners can follow and discover new venues, as well as exploring artist line-ups within the app.
More than 20,000 venues are listed worldwide, ranging from busy arenas to independent clubs.
It follows the launch in March of Concerts Near You, which has seen more than three million people use the feature to discover nearby events.
In addition, the Live Events feed now has a new look, with smarter recommendations and daily updates.
While Concerts Near You updates weekly, the new live events feed refreshes daily, surfacing the most relevant concerts in each listener’s area, ranging from intimate gigs to just-announced global tours.
“It brings together what listeners are streaming, where they live, and the genres they love, all in one personalised destination,” stated a blog post from the streaming giant.
When a listener follows a venue, it’s saved to their library, alongside tailored suggestions for other venues they might enjoy. Once listeners find a concert they’re interested in, they can tap through to the event’s official ticketing partner to complete their purchase.
Spotify said the feature was “supporting the spaces that make live music possible”.
“Live music is the heartbeat of every community,” stated the blog post. “It’s what brings people together and keeps local culture thriving. From historic theatres to basement stages, these are the places where artists grow, fans unite, and lifelong memories take shape.”
