Rising rock duo The Molotovs have signed up with John Giddings, chairman of Solo Music Agency, as their live agent.
The teenage sibling combo – Mathew and Issey Cartlidge – have been building their industry team in recent months
They signed with Anthony Andrews’ Expectation Management, as well as inking a deal with Marshall Records, run by industry veteran Steve Tannett.
Giddings has become the latest industry name to team up with the band. Through his role at Live Nation, the industry veteran has staged and promoted shows by legends including The Rolling Stones, U2, Madonna, The Police and the late David Bowie.
Solo Music will represent The Molotovs in the UK and internationally.
John Giddings, who also runs the annual Isle of Wight Festival, said: “It’s rare that you see such a new, exciting, young band bringing the power of The Small Faces and The Jam into the modern day. And Solo is proud to represent them.”
John is a legend of the business and so to have him and his fantastic agency on board with The Molotovs really does bode so well for the band’s future

Anthony Andrews added: "I am delighted that John, Charly [Beedell-Tuck] and all at Solo have joined the team. John is a legend of the business and so to have him and his fantastic agency on board with The Molotovs really does bode so well for the band’s future. Exciting times.”
The Molotovs have just released their debut single, More More More, which debuted at No.1 in the 7-inch vinyl chart on Friday (March 28) with a limited edition run. The b-side is their reworking of David Bowie’s Suffragette City.
The Molotovs have already been headhunted by acts including The Libertines, the Sex Pistols, Adam Ant and Blondie for tour support. Green Day were also early converts, flagging the band both on stage and in interviews.
To date, the band have played more than 500 shows – including playing a sell-out UK tour and filling out London venues Dingwalls and Bush Hall. They spearheaded the campaign to save the Bush Hall from closure.
The band recently debuted in the US at SXSW, supported the Sex Pistols at London’s Royal Albert Hall for Teenage Cancer Trust and have just launched a UK tour.
A host of festival appearances across Europe and the UK – including their bow at Giddings’ Isle Of Wight Festival in June – will then follow.
