Global live booking agency Roam has appointed Jess Kinn as a senior agent.
The company was launched last month through the merger of ATC Live and Arrival Artists.
Kinn represents a roster including Olly Alexander (Years & Years), Africa Express, The Aces, Moonchild Sanelly, Mallrat, Beth McCarthy, Swim School, Katie Tupper, Catty, Aleksiah, Boyish, Ruby Waters, Babymorocco, Priyanka and Jessie Buckley & Bernard Butler.
Kinn was previously at One Fiinix Live, where she was the company’s first agent hire, playing a key role in expanding its roster. During her time there, she delivered Years & Years’ Night Call arena tour and festival headline performances.
She was nominated for Music Week’s Live Agent of the Year and Best Agent at the Young Music Boss Awards, and was previously recognised as LIVE UK’s Backstage Star and Music Week’s Rising Star.
During the Covid-19 shutdown, she headed up events for the livestreaming platform LiveNow, and was instrumental in Dua Lipa’s record-breaking Studio 2054 show, as well as shows for Gorillaz and The Pete Tong Heritage Orchestra.
An exceptional agent, Jess brings another dimension to our artist roster
Alex Bruford
Kinn began her career at The Leighton Pope Organisation before joining Coda/Paradigm (now Wasserman), where over nine years she rose from reception to agent, overseeing major international tours for artists including Shawn Mendes and Halsey.
Alex Bruford, partner/agent at Roam, said: “We are thrilled that Jess has chosen to join Roam. An exceptional agent, Jess brings another dimension to our artist roster. Her drive and determination throughout her career both for her artists and in progressing positive change and gender equality has been inspiring to watch and perfectly reflects our core values at Roam.”
Jess Kinn said: “I’m beyond excited to be joining such a forward-thinking team at Roam. It was immediately clear to me that everyone here truly puts the artist first and the collaborative culture really stood out. As someone who advocates for gender equality and who represents artists from underrepresented communities, including many female and queer artists, it’s inspiring to see a company roster that is over 50% female, alongside Roam's clear commitment to gender inclusivity. With Roam’s growing global reach, I’m excited to draw on my 15+ years experience in the live business to help develop the roster with a focus in the pop space”
Described as music’s largest independent booking agency following its formation, Roam represents more than 800 artists, including Amyl & The Sniffers, Andrew Bird, BadBadNotGood, Big Thief, Black Pumas, Car Seat Headrest, Cory Wong, Faye Webster, Fontaines DC, Good Neighbours, Goose, Glen Hansard, Jungle, Khruangbin, Japanese Breakfast, Mac DeMarco, Metronomy, Mk.gee, Mt Joy, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, PJ Harvey, Royel Otis, Sufjan Stevens, The Lumineers, and more.
The business operates from offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Paris and Glasgow, and includes specialist divisions in brand partnership and tour marketing.
