AEG Presents’ newest festival, Roundhay Festival in Leeds, was unveiled last week. The 2026 event sponsored by American Express has now confirmed its first headliner – Lewis Capaldi.
The Scottish singer-songwriter will be performing at Roundhay Park on Saturday, July 4, 2026 in what is billed as his biggest UK festival headline show to date. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday, September 19.
The Leeds date is part of a run of huge summer shows for Capaldi, which kick off at Dublin’s Marlay Park on June 24. The dates are:
June 24 Dublin, Marlay Park
June 26 Limerick, Thomond Park
June 28 Exeter, TK Maxx Presents Live at Powderham
June 30 Cardiff, Blackweir Fields
July 4 Leeds, American Express presents Roundhay Festival
July 11 London, American Express presents BST Hyde Park
August 20 Belfast, Belfast Vital
August 22 Manchester, Wythenshawe Park
While Roundhay Festival is a new event in the summer schedule, the site has previously hosted concerts from music legends including Madonna, the Rolling Stones and, more recently, Ed Sheeran.
Next year it will host live music from global stars, as well as a midweek programme of free activities.
Jim King, CEO of AEG Presents UK and European Festivals, said: “We’re proud to announce Lewis Capaldi as the first ever Roundhay Festival headliner in 2026, a true milestone moment. His heartfelt, powerful voice makes him the perfect artist to launch this new chapter, and his much-awaited comeback will be unforgettable.”

With a surprise performance at Glastonbury this year, Capaldi returned with new chart-topping hit Survive – the fastest-selling new single of the year to date.
Meanwhile, his global smash Someone You Loved is the most streamed song of all time in the UK, where it is 10 times platinum with more than six million chart units.
In addition to Roundhay Festival, Capaldi will also headline AEG Presents' 65,000-capacity American Express Presents BST Hyde Park on Saturday, July 11. He will make his debut solo appearance on the Great Oak Stage on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Tickets go on general sale on Friday, September 19.
Jim King added: “Announcing Lewis Capaldi as a BST Hyde Park headliner for 2026 feels absolutely perfect. He is fast becoming a legend for a new generation and will take his place comfortably among the great BST headliners. We had a glimpse of the magic when he joined Noah Kahan on stage this year, but this will be the true comeback that everyone has been waiting for, and we are so proud to host it.”
Capaldi is currently making his way through a sold-out 17-date UK arena tour.
