FKP Scorpio marks Ed Sheeran's five million tickets sold

Promoter FKP Scorpio presented Ed Sheeran and his manager Stuart Camp with a special award on the UK superstar’s third sold-out show at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg.

The award celebrates five million tickets sold across 107 concerts since the beginning of their collaboration in 2011.

The presentation took place just before the concert at the Volksparkstadion, where Sheeran performed to more than 170,000 fans across the weekend.

“The award not only highlights the long-standing and successful partnership between the British musician and FKP Scorpio but also underscores the enduring popularity of the exceptional artist, who has long been one of the most successful live artists in the world,” said a statement.

“We are extremely proud to have worked as Ed Sheeran’s tour promoter for 14 years now and to have reached so many fans together,” said Folkert Koopmans, founder and CEO of FKP Scorpio. “Five million tickets represent not only his extraordinary musical talent but also the unforgettable moments we have been able to share with millions of people."

Ed Sheeran said: “Thank you to everyone who makes these shows possible – and of course to all the fans who keep coming back!”

FKP Scorpio is promoting a total of 22 concerts this summer on the superstar's Mathematics tour. After two stadium shows in Stuttgart at the end of June and the three evenings in Hamburg, a further 17 shows are scheduled in Oslo, Zurich, Antwerp, Wroclaw, Stockholm and Copenhagen.

The Mathematics tour, which started in 2022, will conclude with three sold-out stadium concerts in front of more than 180,000 fans in Düsseldorf.

In the UK, Kilimanjaro and Communion ONE are promoting the three dates at Portman Road, Ipswich (July 11-13).
