Arcade Talent has appointed Simon Dunmore as its new head of artist development.
“The move and newly created role signals a major step forward for the independent agency as it expands its strategic offer to artists across the live and electronic music space,” said a statement.
Founded in 2018 by Dave Alcock, Arcade Talent represents a global roster of electronic music talent. The agency’s artists include Louie Vega, Masters At Work, Kerri Chandler, David Morales, Mr G, Kirollus, Bellaire, Manda Moor, Aroop Roy, Makez and DJ Jazzy Jeff, amongst many more.
Berlioz, an independent, unmanaged artist, has sold over 200,000 tickets globally on his debut LP campaign.
“Widely respected for his role in shaping house music culture as the founder of the iconic Defected Records and Glitterbox, Dunmore brings a unique blend of creative insight and over 30 years of leadership experience to the growing agency,” the statement continued. “His appointment reflects Arcade’s long-term commitment to offering deeper, more holistic support to its roster of artists, and its ambition to evolve the role of a modern bookings agency.”

“Collaborating with Arcade presents the perfect opportunity for me to work directly with, and offer guidance to, artists I know and respect in the live arena,” said Simon Dunmore. “As head of artist development, my role will be to give strategic advice and direction to artists, as well as Arcade’s overall long term strategy.
“Dave Alcock has successfully built a well respected business through his consistent and considered approach to the talent that Arcade represents. Arcade’s independent mindset, along with an ‘artist first’ policy, is totally aligned with my own philosophies, whilst the company’s incremental growth via a defined cultural strategy mirrors my tenure at Defected Records. The electronic music sector continues to thrive and the associated growth within the live arena makes this an exciting proposition for me personally, one which I am eager to immerse myself in."
In the new role of head of artist development, the DJ, A&R and tastemaker will work closely with Arcade Talent’s core team on touring strategies, new opportunities for artists and further growth for the agency.
Dave Alcock, founder of Arcade Talent, said: "The opportunity for Simon to join the agency is hugely exciting for myself, our team and our clients. Through conversation over many years it became clear that we share strong core values in supporting artists careers.
The wealth of knowledge and experience that he has in areas surrounding our core business will really add to the medium and long-term strategies we plan for our clients and agency. We pride ourselves on being an agency that puts its clients interests first and Simon's appointment expands on this commitment to nurture and support our artists’ continued growth."
