Zebralution's London office unveils its latest artist and label deals

Independent digital distributor Zebralution has confirmed new artist and label deals.

Labels 8 Head, Casa Nueve and Folded Music, along with independent artist Bawo, have all signed international agreements with Zebralution’s London-based division.

The UK office is overseen by the company’s head of international business development William Hallström.

8 Head is a new imprint launched by UK underground electronic producer Gerry Read, who is best known for It’ll All Be Over, as well as various collaborations with German producer DJ Koze.

The new label is home to a curated selection of releases, and the label will be announcing several new signings in the near future.

Casa Nueve is an independent record label and global creative studio based between London and Barcelona. Artists on the label include alt-pop act Uma, who has collaborated with Puma Blue, Nilufer Yanya and Rosie Lowe, and Salpa, a Catalonia-based artist blending jazz, indie and electronic music.

Founded in Brighton but now operating out of the UK and Paris, Folded Music is a label and music publisher founded and managed by Alex McCall. Its roster features electronic and jazz acts, including Asta Hiroki, Bon-Psy, Catch92, Fthmlss, Tristan De Liege and Woodini.

London artist Bawo draws on rap, garage, grime and soul. His 2023 breakthrough project, Legitimate Cause, won tastemaker support and Bawo was chosen for Ticketmaster UK’s New Music discovery initiative.

William Hallström, head of international business developments at Zebralution, said: “It’s a pleasure and a privilege to work with labels and artists who form the very fabric of the contemporary underground music community, and we look forward to playing our part in presenting their incredible music to listeners around the world.”
