Warners Records Group promotes Jeff Sosnow to president of Reprise Records alongside A&R EVP role

Warner Records Group has promoted Jeff Sosnow to president, Reprise Records, in addition to continuing in his role as EVP of A&R for Warner Records.

In this expanded remit, Sosnow will oversee the next chapter of Reprise, while continuing to guide A&R strategy for Warner Records. He will remain based in Los Angeles and report to Aaron Bay-Schuck, co-chairman and CEO of Warner Records Group.

Aaron Bay-Schuck said: “Jeff has been essential to Warner Records’ A&R success, and I’m thrilled he’ll continue to lead A&R efforts on behalf of Benson Boone, Rüfüs Du Sol, Nessa Barrett, Billy Strings, The Neighbourhood, and more, as he now takes the reins at Reprise. Reprise stands in a league of its own, with a legacy of groundbreaking artists and timeless records, and Jeff brings the vision, taste, and experience to honour that history while leading it into its next chapter.”

Jeff Sosnow added: “From the start of my career, my passion has always been championing artists – helping them turn their stories, struggles, and dreams into music that reaches people everywhere. I’m incredibly honoured to do that at Warner Records, and deeply grateful to Aaron and Tom [Corson] for their belief, guidance, and trust. It's a privilege to now lead Reprise – a label I've long admired – and I'm excited to build on its legacy."

Founded in 1960 by Frank Sinatra and acquired by Warner Bros in 1963, the first incarnation of Reprise/Warner released recordings by the likes of the Kinks, Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, and many more.

Reprise now operates as a distinct imprint within Warner Records Group. “It carries a powerful legacy as a label known for long-term artist relationships,” said a statement.

In his role as EVP of A&R for Warner Records, Sosnow will continue to spearhead efforts for the label’s roster.

Sosnow has spent his career helping to break artists such as TV On The Radio, Wolfmother, Major Lazer and The All-American Rejects. Since joining Warner Bros. Records (now Warner Records) in 2012, he has worked with a wide range of acts, including Deftones, Orville Peck, Michael Marcagi, The Head and The Heart, Banks and Steelz (RZA & Paul Banks), Death From Above 1979, AJR and Tegan & Sara.
