Vevo veteran JP Evangelista promoted to EVP of content, programming & marketing

Longtime Vevo leader JP Evangelista has been elevated to a new role at the music video network.

With immediate effect, Evangelista has been promoted to executive vice president of content, programming & marketing. 

In this expanded role, he is responsible for Vevo’s global creative and marketing strategy, strengthening artist and label partnerships, and accelerating audience growth through programming and multi-platform storytelling.

“JP and his teams collaborate closely with artists to establish, grow and nurture fanbases, maximise exposure and increase revenue,” said a statement. “His leadership has been instrumental in evolving Vevo’s content ecosystem and distribution network, championing the music video as a key visual promotional and commercial tool for artists.”

Prior to Vevo, Evangelista held roles within Universal Music Group’s eLabs and Global Digital Initiatives departments, where he was selected as part of the core team responsible for building and launching Vevo in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment in 2009.
