Transgressive has appointed Alex Clark as its sync & licensing manager, effective immediately.
Clark has joined the London- and New York-based independent music company following a role at indie label Erased Tapes. His remit will be to oversee and drive Transgressive’s global sync and licensing business, driving partnerships and relationships with existing partners and new clients.
In a joint statement, the company’s directors Toby L, Tim Dellow and Lilas Bourboulon said: “We are over the moon to have Alex join Transgressive. Sync has often driven so many creative, strategic and commercial successes on behalf of our roster.
“Alex’s methodical and considered approach to sync as well as his enthusiasm for the roster, not to mention wide and diverse ranging contact base, made him a dream candidate. We were honoured by the calibre of submissions we received for the position, but Alex was the right fit, coming to the table with an extraordinary vision and plan for the role.”
It’s not just a roster, it’s a community built on trust, belief and shared love for the work

Alex Clark said: “It’s genuinely surreal to be joining Transgressive. I’ve been following the label since seeing Pulled Apart By Horses at the now-closed McClusky’s in Kingston. Blaenavon, Gengahr and Foals were artists that helped shape my taste in music, so stepping into a role that supports musicians I’ve admired for so long feels very full circle.
“What has always set Transgressive apart is how deeply it cares. The leadership are real people who show up for the music and for the humans behind it. It’s not just a roster, it’s a community built on trust, belief and shared love for the work. I’m excited and honoured to step into the role of sync & licensing manager and to help bring this catalogue into new contexts, stories, and audiences.”
Transgressive marked its 20th anniversay last year. The company is known for its work with artists such as Arlo Parks, Foals and Sophie, with recent signings including The New Eves, PAN and Miso Extra.
