The Twang sign with Cooking Vinyl for catalogue and new album

Cooking Vinyl have signed indie band The Twang to a worldwide artists services deal.

The deal covers a brand new album, currently being made in Sheffield with producer Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys, Yard Act, Working Men’s Club, WH Lung) alongside the band’s catalogue albums.

Cooking Vinyl will release The Twang’s sixth studio album, expected in Q1 2027.

The catalogue included in the deal is: Love It When I Feel Like This (2007), 10:20 (2012), Neon Twang (2014), If Confronted Just Go Mad (2019) and Jewellery Quarter 24k (2024).

Once the album is completed, The Twang will play a run of shows and festivals over the summer, including In It Together Festival, Port Talbot (May 23), Wychwood Festival, Cheltenham (May 30), Summer at the Beach, Weston Super Mare (June 6), Castle Concerts, Tamworth (July 18), Kirkstall Abbey, Leeds (July 25), Kendal Calling, Cumbria (August 1), Winter Gardens, Blackpool (August 21), Tile Yard North, Wakefield (August 28).

In addition to Shiiine On, Butlins Minehead (November 14), they are also finalising end-of-year shows still to be announced.

New music is expected in September, with the album to follow in early 2027 along with a full UK tour.

“I heard a great set of demos, met the guys, and soon realised that they were hungry for success again,” said Rob Collins, MD, Cooking Vinyl. “The response from producers was really strong too and now the band are fired up and ready to work!”

“After a turbulent few years we feel we’ve come out the other side with what could be our best album to date,” said The Twang’s Phil Etheridge. “After meeting Rob and the team we knew that Cooking Vinyl was the perfect home for us and the next chapter of The Twang.”

“It’s brilliant to be working with cooking vinyl,” added the band’s manager Ian Richards. “They are the perfect home for the twang catalogue and the wonderful new album in the oven as we speak!”
