Polydor Label Group's chart run continues with five consecutive No.1 albums in Q1

Polydor Label Group has achieved five consecutive weeks at No.1 in the UK with multiple artist albums.

The label group said it is the longest unbroken streak for any label with multiple artist albums (non-compilations) since 2010.

The chart result follows the first No.1 album for Playboi Carti. The US rapper’s digital only album, Music, debuted at the summit with consumption of 21,666 units (Official Charts Company).

With the first quarter of 2025 set to conclude next week, Polydor has achieved five weeks at the summit with four different albums – Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’Sweet (two non-consecutive weeks this year), Sam Fender’s People Watching, Lady Gaga’s Mayhem and Playboi Carti’s Music.

Sam Fender had the biggest weekly sale of 2025 to date with People Watching (107,124 units), followed by Gaga’s Mayhem.

Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet is leading the way in overall albums consumption so far in 2025, followed by Sam Fender’s LP.
