There’s big news from Sony Music UK this morning (February 18), as Oli Welch has joined Ministry Of Sound as head of A&R.
Reporting to Negla Abdela, managing director of the iconic label, Welch will lead its A&R strategy, overseeing signings, artist development and the creative direction of the frontline roster.
A press release outlined a shift to “a tastemaker led approach” that “strengthens Ministry Of Sound’s capability in alternative, electronic and crossover spaces”.
As part of the evolution of Ministry Of Sound’s A&R team, Anton Powers will continue his long-term consultant role, working closely with the label on upcoming projects and artist development.
