Maisie Peters has landed a second consecutive No.1 album.
Florescence (Atlantic/Gingerbread Man Records) opened at the summit with consumption of 29,826 units (25,117 physical copies, 1,851 downloads and 2,858 sales-equivalent streams), according to the Official Charts Company.
Peters was out in front all week and managed to hold off a streaming challenge from Michael Jackson’s The Essential Collection, which was just 262 copies behind. Jackson had been No.1 for a fortnight earlier this month.
Featuring duets with Julia Michaels and Marcus Mumford, the new album from Maisie Peters arrived two years after her chart-topping breakthrough with The Good Witch.
The Music Week cover star has achieved a significant increase in consumption with Florescence, which had a week one total 43.7% higher than The Good Witch. Florescence also topped the official vinyl chart with 8,935 units.

“We’re so thrilled for Maisie on achieving her second No.1 album,” said Atlantic co-presents Briony Turner and Ed Howard in a joint statement. “From its inception, she had a strong vision for Florescence, and it’s amazing to see the fans connect with the album and live shows in such a big way. We can’t wait to continue this journey with her, leading up to her biggest headline show at The O2 next year. Congratulations to Maisie and everyone on her team!”
The Good Witch has to-date consumption of 83,847 units, with her 2021 debut You Signed Up For This on 57,430.
Following her performance at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, she will appear at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry next month, as well as Reading & Leeds Festival and Mexico City’s Corona Capital Festival later this year.
In the wake of her recent Before The Bloom theatre tour across Australia, East Asia, Europe, the UK, the US, Brazil and Canada, Peters will play her biggest headline show to date at The O2 in 2027 (May 8). She was announced as the first artist confirmed for The O2’s 20th birthday celebrations.
