Lo Ting-Fai appointed as Warner Music APAC president

Warner Music Group has appointed Lo Ting-Fai, known as Lofai, as president, Warner Music APAC.

Effective August 11, he will be based in Hong Kong, reporting to Robert Kyncl, CEO of WMG. All of the company’s recorded music territory heads across the Asia-Pacific region will report to Lofai.  

Lofai has joined WMG from telecoms giant PCCW, where he most recently served as CEO of its subsidiary MakerVille, which focuses on content creation, artist management and live events, and COO of Viu, its regional streaming platform. He has also written hit songs under the pseudonym Yu Ri. 

Lo Ting-Fai said: “I’m excited to be taking up this incredible role. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Lofai started his career in radio, before he moved to become a creative at advertising agencies, including Wieden+Kennedy and CTWCM. 

He went on to work for Apple as its creative director for Asia Pacific, before joining PCCW in 2010.
