Lily Allen had one of the big comebacks of 2025 with West End Girl (BMG) – her first album since 2018.
Although initially only available as a digital release, her fourth album reached No.2 in the UK thanks to impressive streaming – at its peak, West End Girl was outstreaming Taylor Swift and Olivia Dean.
With the physical edition released on Friday (January 30), Allen has already secured a gold-certified album thanks to the streaming consumption.
Up to the end of Thursday (January 29), West End Girl had amassed consumption of 95,848 units (based largely on 91,576 sales-equivalent streams). With the physical release, it’s safe to assume that the album has now passed the 100,000 mark for gold certification in the UK based on pre-orders alone.
Since release, West End Girl has surpassed 275 million global streams.
The campaign saw Lily Allen’s highest charting track in the UK in more than 10 years with Pussy Palace reaching No.8 125,172 units to date). She also secured Top 20 hits with Madeline (No.16, 102,909 units to date) and the album title track (No.15, 93,979 units to date). Tennis has charted lower in the Top 100 but still amassed consumption of 91,852 units.
West End Girl has been nominated for Album Of The Year at the BRITs, while Allen is also up for Artist Of The Year and Pop Act.

The critically acclaimed album is now available in a variety of vinyl formats, including cream & black polka dot vinyl, blue & white polka dot vinyl, clear vinyl and black vinyl, as well as a CD and a limited edition USB.
The vinyl and CD editions feature additional original paintings by Nieves González, who designed the striking album cover, which has also adorned billboards.
Lily Allen will play the West End Girl album in full on her sold-out British theatre dates (March 2026), US tour (April 2026) and UK & Ireland arena run (including three nights at the O2 Arena) in the summer – the biggest of her career to date.
Allen has also added a headline slot at Boardmasters (August 8) as part of her festival schedule, which begins with a Mighty Hoopla Show on May 30.
