The Italian music market has seen solid growth in the first half of 2025, according to figures from labels organisation Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana (FIMI).
With a turnover of over €208.1 million, the recorded music market was up 9.7% year-on-year with increased revenues in almost all sectors.
The first half of the year confirms the dominance of Italian repertoire with both the Top 10 albums and singles made up of 90% domestic artists.
Sony Music act Olly (pictured) leads the way in the albums rankings with Tutta Vita. He also had the No.1 single for the first half of the year with Balorda Nostalgia, which won at the Sanremo Music Festival 2025.
Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny also made the Top 10 with Debí Tirar Más Fotos.
Streaming recorded 9.9% overall growth with the premium segment up 12.7%, with a turnover of €113.3 million. Total streaming revenue, including video and ad-supported, was €166.4m.
Physical music was up 13% year in the first half of the year at €33.3m. While vinyl led the way (up 17%) there was also a 4.7% increase in CD sales revenue.
Sync revenue declined by 4.5% to €6.5m.
