IDOL signs label deals with Lex Records and Tru Thoughts

Independent distributor IDOL has agreed two new partnerships with British labels Lex Records and Tru Thoughts.

Lex Records (Badbadnotgood, Ghostface Killah, Danger Mouse, Eyedress, Kae Tempest, MF Doom) will receive worldwide digital distribution as well as support from specialist marketing and audience development teams.

Tru Thoughts Records (Flowdan, Quantic, Hot 8 Brass Band, Moonchild) will receive digital distribution across all territories, excluding North America and Japan. The Brighton-based label will also gain access to IDOL’s full suite of rights management, catalogue development and bespoke DSP strategy, helping to expand the reach of its repertoire and upcoming releases across global streaming and digital retail platforms.

IDOL will apply its analytical expertise for both labels via its proprietary backend platform, Labelcamp, which provides insight into consumption, playlist activity and audience growth.
