Hybe America reveals key appointments for newly launched Hybe Label Service

Hybe America has launched Hybe Label Service (HLS), as the company’s first global organisation designed to bolster the growth of its artists in international markets.

HLS will provide enhanced support across distribution, manufacturing and marketing & promotion (M&P) services worldwide.

To lead HLS, Hybe America has announced the promotion of Ryan Hyeong Woo Noh to chief business officer of Hybe America. Noh, who previously served as the chief strategy officer, will take on an expanded leadership role overseeing key business operations in the region.

Based in the Los Angeles office, Noh will report directly to Hybe CEO Jason Jaesang Lee and to Hybe America CEO and chairman Isaac Lee.

Hybe Label Service is an integrated, single support centre for all Hybe labels and their artists. It consists of two divisions: global distribution and global M&P.

To head the newly formed divisions, Hybe has also made two key executive appointments, both of whom will report directly to Ryan Hyeong Woo Noh.

Mike Rittberg has been appointed as president of global distribution. He will oversee the strategic distribution of Hybe's catalogue and new releases globally.

Most recently, Rittberg served as chief operations officer of Big Machine Label Group, a subsidiary of Hybe America, where he oversaw marketing, streaming and all release initiatives across the label group’s core imprints

Mark Flaherty has joined Hybe as president of global M&P. He will be responsible for leading worldwide marketing and promotional strategies to maximise artist exposure and fan engagement across international territories.

As co-owner of Fanatical Music & Marketing, Flaherty and the team expanded the international profile of Southeast Asian talent, including the breakthrough group Bini, driving A&R, touring, merch, content production and global marketing strategy. He previously held top posts at Warner Records (EVP), Interscope Records (SVP), 88 Rising (global head of label), and leadership roles at Sony Music.

“The creation of Hybe Label Service, under Ryan’s stellar leadership, marks a pivotal moment in our global strategy,” said Isaac Lee, CEO and chairman of Hybe America. “By centralising our essential global support functions and bringing in top-tier leaders like Mike Rittberg and Mark Flaherty, we are providing our artists with an unparalleled platform for continued worldwide success.”

Hybe plans to expand HLS to cover more regions, including strategic resource reallocations across different global territories.

“I am honoured to help lay an important foundation for Hybe’s artists to stand at the very center of the global market,” said Ryan Hyeong Woo Noh, CBO, Hybe America. “I would like to express my gratitude to Hybe CEO Jason Jaesang Lee and Hybe America CEO & chairman Isaac Lee for this opportunity. We will strengthen the links between Hybe’s diverse regional capabilities and our powerful partners, while enabling our artists and labels to more seamlessly reach and engage with audiences across different markets worldwide.”

“I’m honoured to join the Hybe America team and thankful to Ryan Noh for the opportunity to grow, collaborate, and continue pushing creative boundaries together,” said Mike Rittberg, president of global distribution of HLS.  “Rooted in Hybe’s belief in music, this company is redefining what's possible in global music, and I'm proud to be part of building the infrastructure that will help these incredible artists reach audiences everywhere.”

“I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the entire Hybe team, helping to stretch the boundaries of what a global music company can be,” said Mark Flaherty, president of global M&P of HLS.
